How we hire at ImagineArt, step by step

Collage illustrating the ImagineArt hiring steps: apply, chat, interview, offer

Interviewing is stressful enough without guessing what comes next. So here is exactly how hiring works at ImagineArt, and how to give yourself the best shot.

Our rule for ourselves is simple: nobody falls through the cracks. Every application gets an answer, and you'll always know where you stand.

1. Apply

Every role lives on our job board. The application is short. A real person on our talent team reviews it against what the role genuinely needs, and AI only helps with the repetitive parts.

We hire for potential. You don't need to tick every box, so if a role excites you and you can show you've built real things, apply.

2. Initial conversation

Your first call is with our talent team, and it's about you first. What have you built? What are you obsessed with? What do you want to do next? Then we talk about the role.

3. Team interviews

Next you'll meet the people you'd work with. These happen on Google Meet and are scheduled through our hiring system, so you can usually pick a slot that suits you.

Expect to show your work. Depending on the role, that might mean walking us through your GitHub, a Behance portfolio, an edit or a campaign, or doing a short live task together.

4. Meet us in person

For most roles we'll invite you to meet us at our San Francisco HQ or our Islamabad office. It's less of an interview and more of a conversation about your passions and what really moves you as a person, usually with a founder or senior leader.

For our San Francisco sales roles, this often starts with a 15 to 30 minute intro call with a senior team builder before you meet the founders on-site or online.

5. Offer

If it's a match, you'll get a clear written offer that you can review and sign electronically. Our people team will then get you set up for day one.

Tips that genuinely help

For online interviews

  • Join from a laptop, not your phone
  • Find a quiet place and keep your camera on
  • Have your portfolio, code or work samples open and ready to share
  • Running late? Message your recruiter. We'll do the same if we are

For on-site interviews in Islamabad

Our Islamabad office is on the 2nd floor inside NSTP, H-12, which is a gated campus, so entry can take a few minutes. Your recruiter will send you the gate details and an admin contact to message when you leave home.

What makes someone stand out

Proof beats polish. Something you built, a user base you grew, a workflow you automated or an open-source contribution will tell us far more than a perfectly formatted CV. Read more in Hunger over pedigree.
